For the second day in a row, Moldovagaz purchased gas for the Transnistrian region with the money paid in advance by Tiraspoltransgaz. The purchases were made on the trading platform Romanian Commodities Exchange EST.
The amount of gas bought is 28,728 MWh (2.7 million cubic meters). They will be delivered on Thursday to consumers on the left bank of the Nistru.
The Commission for Emergency Situations (CES) decided that Moldovagaz will be able to sell 2 million cubic meters of gas to Tiraspoltransgaz and lend another 3 million cubic meters, which must be given back by March 31. On the first day, Moldovagaz purchased 2.590 million cubic meters of gas for the region.
The Hungarian company MET Gas and Energy Marketing AG was allowed by the CES to deliver gas for the Transnistrian region for the next period, up to the border with the Republic of Moldova. From there, Moldovagaz will deliver the gas to the left bank, by 3 million cubic meters per day. The Transnistria region Vadim Krasnoselsky announced that the Transnistrian region will pay for gas with funds from a Russian loan.
