Moldovan judokas Renat Croitoru and Vadim Gimbovski won bronze medals at the Lignano Junior European Cup in Italy, IPN reports.
Renat Croitoru scored six victories in the 73 kg weight category, managing to defeat his compatriot Vlad Mitru in the match for the bronze medal. For his part, Vadim Gimbovski competed in the 90 kg category and beat Hungary’s Levenre Kiss in the last game.
Alexandru Moraru (66 kg), Genady Chyzhevscki (90 kg), Ciprian Gribinets and Andrei Pyatikovski (both 81 kg) also entered the Top 10 for Moldova.
