Zalina Petrivskaia won gold at the Balkan Athletics Championships that took place in Bulgaria. She emerged victorious in hammer throw with the result of 71.36 meters, IPN reports.
In the men’s hammer throw competition, Zalina’s brother Sergey Marghiev ranked third with the result of 72.30 meters. Dimitriana Surdu finished second in weight throw with the result of 17.36 meters.
At the Balkan Championships, Moldova was represented by 24 athletes. The best of these will compete in the Berlin European Championships starting with August 6.
