Moldova’s Igor Bour won silver in the 62kg class at the European Weightlifting Championships held in Albania, IPN reports.
In snatch, Bour came third with 134 kg, while in clean and jerk he lifted 170 kg, climbing thus on the second step of the winners’ rostrum with a total of 304 kg. The gold was won by Azerbaijan’s Valentin Hristov (312 kg).
In the same class, Moldovan weightlifter Ghenadie Dudoglo ranked sixth with the result of 275 kg.
On the first day of the championships, Oleg Sirghi became European champion in the 56kg class.
In the medals rankings, Moldova is the second. Serghei Cechir enters the competition, in the 69kg class, on April 10.
