Four Moldovan judokas competed in the Junior European Judo Championships in Slovenia. Mihail Doncila is the only one who scored a victory, IPN reports.
In the 60 weight kg class, he beat Switzerland’s Raphael Erne, but then lost to the future winner of the bronze medal, Russia’s Ramazan Abdulaev. Instead, Cornel Andries, Ion Nacu and Victor Sterpu lost the first matches.
This year, Cornel Andries has won the Junior Cup tournaments in Prague and Arad. He competes in the 73 kg weight class.
