Moldovan pair Anna Matus and Gabriele Goffredo won gold at the WDSF European Latin Adult Championship that was held in Rimini, Italy. The competition involved 71 pairs from most of the European countries.
Moldova Dance Sport Federation president Petru Gozun has told IPN that this pair won gold at such a championship for the first time. Earlier they were vice champions. During the last about 50 competitions in which the pair competed, they won at least the third place. Anna Matus and Gabriele Goffredo also won the 2013 World Games of Kali, Columbia, where they were applauded by about 17,000 spectators.
The two will next compete in the World Dance Sport Federation Championship, in autumn.
Based on the results achieved in March, the International World Games Association conferred the title of ‘athletes of the month” on world champions Gabriele Goffredo and Anna Matus, after these won the WDSF Grand Slam, Latin-American program, in Helsinki.
