Moldova’s Marcel Guidea became weightlifting vice champion after winning three silver medals in the 94kg category at the World Juniors Weightlifting Championship held in Russia’s Kazan, IPN reports.
Guidea finished second in the clean and jerk and took the second position in the general rankings with a total of 369 kilograms.
Iurie Bulat won silver in the snatch. He ranked fourth in the 85 kg class with 329 kg lifted.
Moldova was represented by three athletes. Adrian Motricala could not pass the qualifying round in the 94kg class. The World Juniors Weightlifting Championship in Kazan took place on June 21-28.
