The national football-tennis team of Moldova has won four bronzes at the Football-Tennis World Championships held in Romania in all the age categories – seniors, juniors and Under 21, IPN reports.
Among seniors, Alexandru Sîrghi and Ion Țelic ranked third in singles, while Alina Franchevici, Laura-Maria Mereuță, Alexandru Sîrghi, Ion Țelic and Artiom Scripnic won bronze in mixed triples.
In Under 21 mixed doubles, a bronze medal was brought by Artiom Scripnic, Mihai Cupeț, Iulian Cupeț and Laura-Maria Mereuță. The Moldovan athletes were trained for the Football-Tennis World Championships by Iurie Bulgăreanu and Andrei Sîrghi.
