The strengthening of the team is the most important thing in the reformation of the Party of Socialists. The PSRM will continue to plead for defending and strengthening Moldova’s sovereignty and neutrality. Moldova will not take part in geopolitical hostilities and in the military campaigns of NATO. The PSRM will use all the legal mechanisms, including the protests, to remove the PAS regime, PSRM executive secretary Vlad Batrîncea stated in a news conference where the party’s new collegial executive body was presented, IPN reports.

The Executive Committee consists of: Vlad Batrîncea, Deputy Speaker of Parliament; Olga Cebotari, ex-deputy prime minister for reintegration; Adela Răileanu; deputy chairwoman of the Parliament’s commission on culture, education, research, youth, sport and the media, Maxim Lebedinschi, ex-secretary of the Central Election Commission, and Grigore Novac, chairman of the Parliament’s commission on human rights.

Olga Cebotari said the PSRM pleads for a balanced and pragmatic foreign policy, in the interests of the country’s citizens and the state, for partnership relations with the West and the East, for the country’s reintegration and for the extensive settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.

Maxim Lebedinschi spoke about the problems related to the building of the rule of law, ensuring of a veritable reform of the justice system, independence of judges and prosecutors, depoliticization of the Constitutional Court and corruption fighting. “In this regard, we will plead for ensuring the principle of separation and interaction of powers in the state based on a control and balance system,” stated Maxim Lebedinschi.

Adela Răileanu noted that the PSRM believes in the prosperous future of the Republic of Moldova. “That’s why we will be making effort to ensure money is not saved on education and budget support for this area is increased. Science should become an engine for the development of the Republic of Moldova, not an area where public money disappears,” said the representative of the PSRM.

Grigore Novac noted that the Party of Socialists pleads for defending the rights of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova on both sides of the Nistru, regardless of ethnicity, religion, language, sex, social status and political beliefs.
