Moldova Unita members from Nisporeni join European Action Movement

The Nisporeni branch of Moldova Unita Party leaves it for the European Action Movement (MAE). The announcement was made Thursday by a member of the branch, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mihai Cicariov says the question is about 50 people. Their argument is that Moldova Unita would be a pro-Russian party, its convention and sitting are led in Russian, ignoring the objectives proclaimed when launching the party. MAE is the only party able to take Moldova out from deep crisis having engulfed the entire country, said Mihai Cicariov, after complaining that the efforts of European integration are but mimed by the authorities and that the democratic institutions do not function. “We have the certitude that MAE will transform Moldova into state of law, will restore the trust in state institutions and will prepare the society to join NATO and the EU,” Cicariov said. According to him, no person of the ones abandoning Moldova Unita are on the party's lists for the parliament. Asked by Info-Prim Neo, Ana Tcaci, Moldova Unita's leader, has said it's not possible that 50 persons from the Nisporeni branch should be leaving, since there are only 8 of them there.
