The party of spiritual development “Moldova Unita” also wants Marian Lupu to head the Social-Democratic forces. “Marian Lupu's rather bold step – leaving the PCRM – is like a heroic deed,” the party's president Ana Tcaci told a news conference on Friday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In an address to the civil society, to center-wing political parties and citizens, Ana Tcaci has said “namely this political figure is capable of heading a movement for Moldova's national salvation, of uniting the Social-Democratic political forces with a well-determined goal: the people's prosperity, peace and quiet in the country, a real democracy, freedom and dignity for every Moldovan citizen.” Moldova Unita proposes an electoral slogan: “For a new Moldova, a happy people with Marian Lupu in front.”
Ana Tcaci is certain this new force headed by Lupu will enter the Parliament. “In the situation when neither the opposition parties, nor the ruling party can take the society out of tension and confrontation, the Social-Democratic forces are the ones to unite Moldova,” Tcaci said.
According to Ana Tcaci, the politicians should leave their ambitions aside and to propose new people for their lists, non-corrupted, uncompromised people, but she gave no names.
Referring to the modest result her party got in the recent parliamentary elections, Ana Tcaci has said “Moldova Unita was discriminated.” “Several days before the poll, our electoral ad was not accepted by Moldova 1, as the money was returned after the elections. The parliamentary elections were rigged and we're the victims,” she said.
