The national Under 19 football team of Moldova played two friendlies against the similar squad of Romania. Both of the games were won by Ghenadie Pusca’s pupils, IPN reports.
Initially, Moldova won a 1-0 victory in Orhei, through the goal scored by striker Nicolae Matei. Today, October 17, Romania was beaten by 2-0 at the Zimbru stadium. Paul Copaci scored a self-goal in the 22nd minute, while Dumitru Myndrichenko set the final score in the 89th minute.
The two matches represented a stage of preparations for the European Championship qualifiers. In the period between October 10 and 15, Moldova plays Portugal, Greece and Lithuania in Portugal.
