The national Under-21 football team of Moldova started the competition in the 2023 UEFA European Championship with a draw. Moldova drew 0-0 with Wales, IPN reports.
“Wales has a strong, British team, with footballers who play for U21 Liverpool, Crystal Palace etc. We knew they are tough, robust. It is their style. But my team did well today. For the first match, I’m satisfied,” said the coach of Moldova U21 Ștefan Stoica.
Ștefan Stoica used the following players: Agachi, Revenco, Ștefan, Zaporojan, Ieșeanu, Cotogoi, Postolachi (Stefu 90+4), Iosipoi (Danu 90+4), Moțpan (Osipov 90+4), Cojocari (Pușcaș 82), Gaiu.
On September 3, Moldova plays Bulgaria at home.
