The national U-21 football team of Moldova scored the second victory in the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying competition, beating North Macedonia 2-1, IPN reports.
The goals were scored by Vlad Răileanu (min 55), Mihai Lupan (85), and, respectively, Luka Stankovski (60).
The Moldovan footballers scored for two times even if they played in numerical inferiority after minute 51, following the sending off of Daniel Danu.
Moldova ranks fourth with six points, having by one point fewer than Sweden and Georgia, which drew in Batumi 0-0. The Netherlands scored 12 points out of 12 and holds the lead. On November 21, the team trained by Ștefan Stoica meets Gibraltar at home.
