The national Under-18 football team of Moldova didn’t manage to score one more victory at the international tournament “Development Cup” held in Belarus. After drawing with Belgium 1-1 and beating Armenia 4-1, Moldova lost to Russia 0-5, IPN reports.
The team trained by Sergiu Kirilov ranked third in the group and will compete for the 7th-9th places in the mini-tournament. Moldova plays Slovakia first, on January 20.
A bitter defeat was also suffered by the Under-19 football team of Moldova, at the international competition “Valentin Granatkin” in Saint Petersburg. Oleg Fistican’s team was demolished by Belarus 0-4 and is to compete with Estonia for the 11th place.
