The national football team of Moldova suffered the most humiliating defeat in its history. Moldova lost away 0-8 to Denmark, IPN reports.
The first goal in the match played in Herning was scored in the 19th minute through Kasper Dolberg, who later scored again. The other goals for the host team were scored by Mikkel Damsgaard (two), Jens Stryger Larsen, Mathias Jensen, Robert Skov and Marcus Ingvartsen.
“It is my mistake that I didn’t manage to explain to my team how to play correctly,” stated Moldova manger Roberto Bordin.
After two matches played in the qualifying competition of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Moldova has one point that it obtained in the Chisinau match against the Faroe Islands. On March 31, Moldova plays Israel in Chisinau, starting at 9:45pm.
