Moldova to tender SEECP presidency to Turkey

Moldova will tender the rotating presidency of the South East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) to Turkey at the SEECP summit to be held in Chisinau from June 2 to 5, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The 12th summit of the SEECP comprises the reunion of the political directors (2-3 June), the first annual reunion of the Regional Cooperation Council (3-4 June), the reunion of foreign ministers (3-4 June ) and the Summit of heads of states and governments (4-5 June.)
The presidents of Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Bosnia, the premiers of Greece, Montenegro, Turkey, Croatia and Serbia, Albania's deputy premier are expected. The reunion will be presided by Moldova's president Vladimir Voronin.
Important documents for the process of regional cooperation in South Eastern Europe are expected to be signed at the summit.
Moldova has taken over the SEECP presidency from Bulgaria on May 28. Meanwhile, Moldova held 15 policy and sector-related reunions. Moldova's key objective was to develop the SEECP – EU dialogue and to strengthen the European perspective of the south-eastern European countries.
The SEECP is the main political forum in the area comprising 11 states from South-Eastern Europe, three of which are EU member.
