The national football team of Moldova will make effort to take revenge on the similar team of Andorra this evening. Last year, the ‘tricolors’ drew in Chisinau and now aspire to victory.

“Last year we underestimated Andorra. We will now play more offensively so as to create more occasions for scoring,” Moldova manager Ion Caras said in a news conference before the match, quoted by IPN.

The national team trained in Spain in the evening of March 4. The weather conditions didn’t permit to hold the training in Andorra. It does not snow in Andorra today and there are about 3 degrees Celsius there. “This game is important for us as it is not much time left until the start of the European Championship preliminaries,” added Ion Caras.

Moldova and Andorra have played two friendlies so far. On February 9, 2011, Moldova scored a 2-1 victory in Portugal’s Lagos, while on August 14, 2013, the two teams tied in Chisinau.

The match between Andorra and Moldova takes place on the Estadi Comunal d'Andorra la Vella Stadium on March 5, starting at 8pm, Moldova’s time.
