Moldova to pay 62.4m lei dues to international organizations

In 2022, the Republic of Moldova will pay membership dues of 62.4 million lei to 69 international and regional organizations, IPN reports.

The list of international and regional organizations to which Moldova is to pay dues from the state budget includes five parliamentary organizations, 57 international institutions and seven bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). About 6 million lei will be allocated to international parliamentary organizations, 50.7 million lei to international institutions and 5.6 million lei to CIS organizations.

“The honoring of the financial commitments to the international and regional organizations of which the Republic of Moldova is a party is an important objective in the process of pursuing the foreign policy and of promoting the country’s positive image as a reliable partner and also in realizing the potential of member of international organizations,” the Ministry of Finance noted in a press release.
