Moldova to make solar batteries

The Chinese company Shando Shangdong AUHUA /New Energy/ plans to build a factory for making solar energy systems in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports
In a news conference on December 16, the company's director Chen Anxiang said the factory will be constructed on an area of 20 hectares in Orhei district. The investments will total US$60 million.
The factory will produce three types of solar batteries that will be used to produce electric power and heat, to heat water and in street lighting. The products will be sold on the home market and abroad.
Andrei Timus, director of the Investment Attraction and Export Promotion Organization of Moldova, said they have negotiated with the Chinese company since spring. The feasibility project is now drafted and the construction works will start soon.
The factory will start work in about a year. It will employ 2,000 persons.
