A climate change information management and information portal will be created in the Republic of Moldova. It goes to a single access information system, which will unify climate data and support adaptation to climate change. The concept of the system was approved by the Cabinet on Wednesday, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Environment said that the platform will facilitate the public’s and authorities’ access to accurate and updated information on climate risks, thus contributing to reducing their impact.
Among the main functions of the portal are the continuous collection and updating of climate data, its visualization and processing, as well as interoperability with other national and international data systems.
The Ministry also said that the project ensures efficient management of climate data, facilitating the Government's capacity to respond quickly to the challenges brought by climate change, supporting the sustainable development of the country.
