Moldova to host CIS games for first time

Moldova will host the Games of the Community of Independent States for the first time, with the slogan: “In a Community of Peace and Health,” an official from the Sports National Agency, Tudor Danila, has said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The contests will take place in Chisinau, from September 24 to 28, as 505 sportspeople from 12 countries are expected. They will compete in 7 events: volley, badminton, athletics, ping pong, swimming. The contest is set for two age categories: 18-35 and 35- and higher. The event includes a marathon titled “17 years of the CIS” on a 2,008-meter distance to be run by everyone willing.
