Moldova takes part in ministerial meeting of Visegrad Group

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Galbur is taking part in the ministerial meeting of the Visegrad Group with the Eastern Partnership countries that is taking place in Prague on May 3-4. The meeting involves representatives of the EU member states and of European institutions, IPN reports.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, on the sidelines of the event Andrei Galbur will have bilateral meetings with his Czech and Hungarian counterparts, the Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations and with representatives of the local authorities and business community interested in cooperating with Moldova.

The Visegrad (V4) Group was formed on February 15, 1991 by three countries – the then Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Poland – for the purposes of furthering their European integration, as well as for advancing military, economic and energy cooperation with one another.
