This year, too, Moldova will switch to winter time by setting back clocks by one hour on the night of Saturday, October 28, to Sunday, October 29. This means 3:00 AM will become 2:00 AM, and Moldovans will gain an hour’s sleep.
The switch is happening across Europe, the UK, the US, and other countries.
In March 2019, the European Parliament voted to scrap seasonal time changes and clocks were supposed to make a final switch in 2021. But in June 2021 the European Commission said there will be no abolition of summer and winter time in the coming years.
