On October 27, on the last Sunday of the month, Moldova will switch to "winter time", when clocks go back by one hour. A Public Relation and Protocol Directorate press release specified that 03:00 o'clock will become 02:00 o'clock.
In March 2019, the European Commission voted to waive the daylight saving scheme, starting with 2021. Each EU Member State will be able to choose whether to remain at the "summer" or "winter" time (standard time). The European Union countries must inform the Commission of their choice by April 2020.
The Moldovan government has previously announced that it will take the same position as European Union countries.
