Moldova will switch to summer time on the night of March 31, at 02.00. Clocks will be set one hour forward, IPN reports.

The summer time is the legally adopted time in some countries or territories. It is one hour ahead of the standard time, which is called winter time. The change to Daylight Saving Time allows using less energy in lighting by taking advantage of the longer and later daylight hours.

Contacted by IPN, psychologist Svetlana Gorea said the change of hour affects the people in a different way. Some people become nervous, tired and agitated and cannot easily wake up. As a result, there appear headaches and the work capacity diminishes. Every person adapts oneself differently to the new regime. The adaptation period can last for even a month.
