Moldova backs the peace plan proposed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for peacefully resolving the crisis in the neighboring country. Moldova’s position was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Valeriu Chiveri in the Annual Security Review Conference of the OSCE, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Moldovan official underlined the importance of this initiative, voicing hope that the sides involved will show the political will needed to remedy the situation and make progress in the conflict settlement talks. In this connection, the head of the Moldovan delegation reiterated Moldova’s support for the efforts made to identify a solution based on international principles and commitments, in particular by respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The Annual Conference is taking place in Austria’s Vienna on June 24-26.
