Moldova fell 11 spots to the 167th in the FIFA rankings for this month that were released on October 17, IPN reports.
This is the worst position so far this year. The fall is due to the results of the last two matches of the qualifying rounds of the 2018 FIFA World Cup: 0-2 against Ireland and 0-1 against Austria.
The FIFA rankings are topped by Germany, which is followed by Brazil and Portugal. The next rankings will be made public on November 23.
