The national football team of Moldova slipped one spot to the 156th in the FIFA rankings for this month that were released on March 3, IPN reports.
The team trained by Igor Dobrovolski is to play friendlies against Malta (March 24) and Andorra (March 28), both within the training session in Malta. Among Moldova’s opponents in Group D of the 2018 World Championship qualifying rounds, Austria has the best position – 10th. Wales ranks 17th, Ireland – 29th, Serbia – 50th, while Georgia – 122nd.
Belgium tops the FIFA rankings, being followed by Argentina and Spain. The next rankings will be made public on April 7.
