Moldova slips four spots in FIFA rankings

The national football team of Moldova fell four spots to the 124th in the FIFA rankings for this month, released on June 4, IPN reports.

The team trained by Alexandru Curteian is to play away a friendly against Luxemburg on June 9 and another match against Liechtenstein on June 14, of the qualifying rounds of the 2016 European Championship.

Among Moldova’s opponents in Group G, Austria takes the best piston – 20th. Russia ranks 26th, Sweden – 39th, Montenegro – 70th, while Liechtenstein – 129th.

Germany continues to top the rankings, followed by Belgium and Argentina. The next rankings will be made public on July 9, 2015.
