Moldova's second consecutive defeat, suffered against Israel on Wednesday (score 1:2), left our national football team at the bottom of the Qualifying Group Two.
Forward Viorel Frunza told Info-Prim Neo that the defeat has seriously compromised Moldova's chance to book a trip to South Africa. “As things stand now, we can't aspire to the World Cup Finals in 2010. We just don't have the team to make it happen” .
In the same group, Luxembourg stunned Switzerland in Zurich (1:2), and Latvia was defeated at home by Greece (0:2).
