The Moldovan and Romanian authorities will apply an efficient mechanism for the exchange of information for confirming the validity and authenticity of driving licenses. The Cabinet approved the initiation of negotiations on an agreement on the conversion of driving licenses issued by the Republic of Moldova and Romania, IPN reports.
Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nikitin said that the objective of the agreement is to ensure between states the exchange of expertise and good practices in the field of registration of motor vehicles and issuance of driving licenses. "The exchange of information will be accelerated and better protection of personal data will be ensured. This agreement will enable the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to move for a longer period of time on the territory of Romania," stated the minister.
