An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale shook Moldova in the morning of January 23, at 8.15. It happened in Romania’s Vrancea Mountains, where its magnitude was 4.8.
Contacted by IPN, head of the Experimental Seismology Center of the Chisinau Institute of Geology and Seismology Ion Ilies said that its center was at a depth of 150 km. The quake was felt in Chisinau and in other districts.
