Moldova ranks 131st in FIFA rankings

Moldova’s national football team improved its standing in the world country rankings that were released by the International Football Federation (FIFA) on March 14. The squad climbed six spots to the 131st with 232 points, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Among Moldova’s opponents in the 2014 World Championship qualifiers, England has the best position – the fourth. Montenegro went up again, to the 29th spot. Ukraine and Poland slipped to the 48th place and, respectively, the 61st place. San Marino comes last, on the 207th spot.
European and world champion Spain is on top, followed by Germany and Argentina.
Moldova’s squad will play the next matches of the 2014 World Championship qualifiers against Montenegro and Ukraine on March 22 and 26.
