Moldova ranked 137th by FIFA

Moldova’s national football team moved up two places in the world rankings published on Wednesday, August 8, by the International Football Federation (FIFA), Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Tricolors occupy the 137th place with 213 positions. Moldova didn’t play any matches last month.
The national team will play its next match on August 15, in a friendly fixture with Albania. This will be the last chance for coach Ion Caras to experiment before the start of World Cup 2014 qualifiers. On September 7, the Tricolors will face England, who occupy the third place in the FIFA rankings.
Moldova’s other qualification rivals didn’t improve their rankings. Ukraine remain 45th, Montenegro 50th, Poland 54th, while San Marino stay at the bottom – 203rd.
European and world champions Spain top the rankings, followed by Germany.
