Cheese production increased in the first ten months of 2024. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, a percentage increase of 106% has been attested during this time, IPN reports.
This is the total production of cow, sheep and goat cheese. Thus, 7570 tons of cheese were produced in the first 10 months, compared to the same period of 2023, when 7164 tons were produced.
The ministry also informs that due to sectoral policies and state interventions through subsidies and direct payments, milk production on licensed farms reached 50,000 tons in 2024, compared to 42,200 tons in 2023 and 36,900 tons in 2022.
