Moldova predominantly exports manufactured goods

Manufactured goods are at the top of Moldova’s exports list, at a share of 23.7% of total exports. Among these, Moldova mostly exports clothes and accessories, furniture and parts, footwear, professional equipment and tools, scientific and control tools, and others, shows the data from the National Bureau of Statistics, reports Info-Prim Neo.
Exports of food products and livestock rank second, at 18.1% of total exports. In this aspect, most exported are vegetables and fruit, cereals and cereal-based products, sugar and sugar products, honey, fodder, processed and unprocessed meat, and others.
Machine and transportation equipment exports rank 3rd, covering a share of 16.5% of total exports. In this section, most exported are electrical tools and machines, industrial-grade general use machines and devices, vehicles, industry-specific machines and tools, other transportation equipment, power generators and equipment needed for them, machines and tools for telecommunications and their recording, sound and image reproduction, and others.
Following on the 4th rank are beverages and tobaccos, with 10.9% of total exports. In this section, most exported are alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, processed and unprocessed tobacco.
Exports shipped to European Union states (UE-27) summed at $508.0 million, covering 48.8% of total exports (49.6% during January-June 2011).
Moldova’s shipments to CIS member-countries covered 41.1% of total exports (39.0% during January-June 2011), summing up to $428.3 million.
