The national football team of Moldova meets the similar squad of Ireland in Dublin in the evening of October 6. It is the last but one match of the qualifying competition of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and Moldova does not have chances of qualifying, but could prevent Ireland from reaching the final in Russia, IPN reports.

Moldova ranks last in Group D with only two points. “We make effort to play well each match. We will be more confident after a victory, not after defeats,” Moldova manager Igor Dobrovolski told a news conference.

“It is important to show the same dedication as in the match against Wales. Only this way can we hope for a good result,” said the captain of the team Alexandru Epureanu.

The encounter between Ireland and Moldova takes place at the Aviva stadium starting at 9:45pm. Moldova will be supported by about 500 Moldovan fans.
