The leader of the Moldova Platform Irina Vlah disapproves of the insistence with which the government-controlled press makes effort to find “faults” during her tenure as Bashkan of Gagauzia, thus trying to denigrate and discredit her. In an appeal to President Maia Sandu, Irina Vlah suggests focusing on genuine investigations on relevant topics instead of applying such political tactics, IPN reports.

“If somehow you are short of ideas, call on me as I’m ready to suggest a lot of other topics and even to help your press conduct real investigations, not that rubbish that is clearly politically-ordered,” reads the message addressed to President Maia Sandu.

“I admit that when I launched the Moldova Platform, I was worried about how we would promote our platform, given that a large part of the press in the Republic of Moldova was liquidated by your regime, while another part (the largest) is fully controlled by you. But thanks to your involvement, to the orders you give to the press you control, the problem seems to have been solved. There is no day when I’m not approached by your press and, together with my mates, we will even gather all the so-called requests for information, all the materials published by your press and will make them public so that the overall picture is clear,” wrote Irina Vlah.

She says that the controlled press does nothing but openly show the citizens of the Republic of Moldova whom the President considers an opponent. “I, too, will strive to live up to my role. Today, I don’t think there is a greater honor than to be the opponent of those who destroyed and continue to destroy the Republic of Moldova. And this thing was done by you, Mrs. Maia Sandu, and the little yellow men who surround you and serve you from morning to evening have done. Given the great disappointment you have sown in our society, the considerable hatred the people have toward your regime, any dirty attack by the controlled press only increases the fame and popular support for the one you attack,” said the leader of the Moldova Platform.

Irina Vlah claims that according to her information, so-called investigations about the wheat offered by the Russian Federation to Gagauzia during her tenure as Bashkan will appear the coming days. “Several other subjects, as far as I know, are to be approved by the regime at the highest level so that the yellow press will later carry out new alleged investigations.”
