The public association Moldova Platform, led by Irina Vlah, has launched a nationwide campaign entitled “Voice of the People”. The campaign is designed to transmit information about the people’s problems to the authorities of the Republic of Moldova.

In a press briefing hosted by IPN, Irina Vlah explained that such a campaign is needed because many residents of the country complain about the inaction of the authorities that “are afraid to meet with the people and don’t want to hear about their problems”.

“In recent months, I and my colleagues from Moldova Platform have traveled a lot through villages, communicated with the people and during this period I understood that the Government lives in a parallel world, doesn’t know at all the real problems experienced by the people, acts on the basis of its narrow interests, completely ignoring the real interests of the citizens,” said Irina Vlah.

The politician accused the Moldovan President and the PAS regime of closing their ears to the complaints of the poor people so as to continue ruling as they consider convenient, not as the interests of the country and the people require.

Within the “Voice of the People” campaign, Irina Vlah’s team intends to collect information from the people about their problems, as well as their opinions and proposals for solving particular problems and to then forward them to the responsible authorities.

“We will help the people formulate their concrete wishes and will assist them in the process of notifying the responsible state institutions. We will knock, together with the people, on all the doors behind which the little yellow men are now hiding and will make them listen to what the people really want. If Maia Sandu and her team don’t want to descend from the tower where they hid, we will climb up to them,” noted Irina Vlah.
