Moldova today inaugurated its embassy in the Netherlands, located in the seat of the Dutch government and parliament, The Hague, IPN reports.
Attending the ceremony, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca noted that the Moldovan mission in the Netherlands has an important role to play, especially since Holland is one of the European Union's founding nations and a country that supports liberalized visas for the Moldovans.
According to a press release from the Government, Moldova's Ambassador Emilian Brenici, appointed last year, stated that the opening of the embassy will enable the diplomatic mission to provide better protection and assistance to Moldovan nationals in the Netherlands.
The embassy is housed by a historical landmark building, near the Dutch ministries of economy and of foreign affairs.
