The national football team of Moldova takes the 155th spot in the 2023 FIFA rankings. For the first time, Moldova struggled to earn qualification for the UEFA Euro 2024. If the team trained by Sergiu Kleshchenko had won the last match against the Czech Republic, Moldova would have qualified for the final tournament, IPN reports.
Next autumn, Moldova will play six matches in the UEFA Nations League. The possible opponents occupy the following positions in the FIFA rankings: Andorra – 164th, Malta – 172nd, Lichtenstein – 203rd and San Marino – 210th. The draw will take place on February 8.
The FIFA rankings continue to be topped by world champion Argentina, which is followed by France and England.
