Moldova’s national mini-football team obtained the first victory at the European Mini-football Championship, which takes place in Chisinau. On Saturday, September 22, the Tricolors managed a narrow 1-0 victory against Germany thanks to a goal from Vitalie Soimu, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the other match of Group A, Slovakia outclassed Slovenia 6-0. In the first round, played yesterday, Moldova and Slovakia produced a scoreless draw, while Germany bested Slovenia 3-2. After two games, the players coached by Serghei Secu shared the first place in the group with Slovakia. Both teams have 4 points, 1 more than Germany. The last matches in the group will be played on Saturday: Moldova take on Slovenia and Slovakia meet Germany. The top two placed teams will qualify for the quarter finals. This year’s edition of the European Mini-football Championship gathered 16 countries, seeded in 4 groups. The competition will end on Sunday, September 23.
