Moldova switches to summer time on the night of March 29. Clocks will be turned back one hour and 3am will become 4am, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, the switch to summer time takes place in accordance with the proposal of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and is applied concomitantly with the EU member states.
Last March, the MEPs voted to abolish the seasonal time change in the European Union as of 2021. Each EU member state will be able to decide whether to keep the permanent summer time or the winter time, which is the standard time. The Government of the Republic of Moldova said it will adopt the same decision as the EU member states. A decision hasn’t been yet taken.
