Social payments beneficiaries receiving their money from the Moldova Mail will be able to get a bank card from the institution. Manager Serghei Nastas told a press conference that the company has contracted Victoriabank for the new service, IPN reports.

The card will be issued for free within 5 working days. Over the next period, Victoriabank will install 600 terminals in post offices. According to Moldova Mail, it chose this bank because it had the best offer. Moreover, card holders who don't withdraw all their money will receive an interest.

Nastas assured that the state company is fully ready to provide, beginning on September 1, the social payments previously distributed by Banca de Economii and Banca Sociala. Until now, the Moldova Mail serviced about 650,000 beneficiaries, who received nearly 9 billion lei per year. After September 1, it will service an additional 150,000 people, distributing about 1.7 billion lei per year.

In order to avoid the delay of payments, the company launched the app “Mobile bill”, which allows users to pay their bills with smartphones. Meanwhile, at the company's central office, customers lines will be managed more easily with the “E-queue” program. Additional windows will be opened in offices with a heavy flow of customers and the working hours may be adjusted accordingly.

The manager also announced that the Moldova Mail needs 54 operators in Chisinau and 10 in Balti and called for the employees of the Banca de Economii (BEM), currently undergoing liquidation, to apply for jobs at the Moldova Mail. He even said an agreement was in place with BEM's HR department so that employees can transfer directly, without losing a single day of work. The average wage of a postal operator is 4400 lei.
