Google’s Be Internet Awesome Program has been launched in Moldova today on Safer Internet Day. The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) says that the program teaches children and young people to explore the Internet safely and confidently.
Be Internet Awesome supports teachers in implementing an educational program about online safety, offering digital lessons and interactive activities that can be used in teaching. Additionally, the Program includes a guide for families, which encourages dialogue and shared learning between parents and children about Internet safety.
The program runs simultaneously in several European countries. It is structured in 5 chapters with classroom activities and scenarios. Children can also apply and test the knowledge acquired through the Interland game.
Be Internet Awesome is not only an educational program, but also an initiative that encourages young people to make positive changes around them, promoting responsible and safe use of the Internet. The program is free and can be accessed on the MEC website.
