Settlements across Moldova remained without electricity on Wednesday afternoon. Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu said the situation of November 15, when outages were experienced as a result of an electrical power failure, repeated, IPN reports.
“Dear citizens, the situation of November 15 has repeated. Following new shelling of the Ukrainian energy system by Russia, we have blackouts all over the country,” Andrei Spînu posted on Telegram. He noted that Moldelectrica works to restore the supply of electricity.
In a press release, the power distributor “Premier Energy” said that the supply of electricity failed on November 23, at 2:23pm, and the transmission and distribution system operators are working to restore the supply.
“We ask the consumers to show understanding as this is not the fault of the distribution system operator and assure them that effort is being made to maintain the continuous supply of power,” runs the press release.
