Moldova has new Federal Police liaison officer

Andre Wischmeyer was appointed as the new liaison officer of the Federal Police for Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the German Embassy in Chisinau. Andre Wischmeyer was presented to officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova by the head of the International Cooperation Department of the General Division of the Federal Police based in Potsdam. The meeting took place at the residence of the German Ambassador. The officials discussed issues concerning cooperation between the German and Moldovan police. German Minister of the Interior Thomas de Maiziere and his Moldovan counterpart Victor Catan met in Berlin and considered possibilities of strengthening cooperation and contributing to the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU.
