An important and difficult stage begins for Moldova after the initialing of the Association Agreement with the EU, but the country has all the resources needed to implement its provisions, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman said after the Vilnius EaP Summit, quoted by IPN’s correspondent in Vilnius.
The official told the journalists that a number of bilateral meetings took place on November 29 and the general impression is that the Moldovans are supported by the Europeans. “We must prepare for the implementation of the Association Agreement and this process entails the support and contribution of the EU,” said Natalia Gherman.
The Association Agreement with the EU was initialed in the third Eastern Partnership Summit that was held in Vilnius on November 28-29. Moldova was congratulated by many European officials, who said that the country made progress in doing reforms.
