Cherries continue to be the subject of transactions between Moldovan and Russian economic agents,  despite the undiplomatic clatters of the foreign affairs department in Moscow, IPN reports, quoting data from Fresh Plaza, an international platform for the sale of agricultural production, which show that Moldovan cherries come to Moscow about two weeks after Turkish cherries.

The source noted that the season of stone fruits is usually opened by Turkish production, but this year the first shipments of cherries came from Uzbekistan.

The source also refers to the fact that the peach and nectarine season opened a few days earlier. Currently, Turkish apricots are supplied in smaller quantities, which led to an increase in the purchase price. However, with the increase in apricot supplies from Uzbekistan and other markets, their cost is expected to decrease.

Moldova is also among the main suppliers of apples and pears to Russia, along with Turkey, China, Chile, South Africa, Serbia, Lebanon, Argentina and Brazil. Despite the large volume of imported pears, their selling prices on the Russian market remain stable until autumn.
